Genova Graphics and Geometry

The Genova Graphics and Geometry group at the University of Genova was founded by Prof. Leila De Floriani (former member) in 1990, and is currently led by Prof. Enrico Puppo. Since its foundation, the group has been active in the field of computer graphics, geometric modeling, and spatial data handling. Past activities were mostly focused on spatial data structures and shape analysis; more recent activities also include geometry processing, meshing, and discrete differential geometry and topology. The group has participated in many research projects and regularly publishes scientific results, mostly in top venues, also contributing to software libraries. The main application fields of research are in vector graphics, mesh modeling, surface design, animation, geographical information systems, and scientific visualization.
